Tips for Communicating with Students on Pandemic

                                        
It is well known that several positive measures have been taken to fight against the pandemic. It is also important to engage students to keep study under pleasure and supportive circumstances. 

Schools and teachers play important roles in this aspect. Correct and timely relevant information contribute to ease some of the anxiety. Below are some tips for communicating with students on the pandemic. 


For pre-school kids 

One of the most important things is to teach them to keep good personal hygiene. For example, wipe noses and cover mouths when sneezing or coughing and wash hands immediately after that. 

Funny and interesting communication is essential. Singing, dancing and other pleasing study processes make it easier. Teach kids to wash their hands no less than 20 seconds, praise and reward them for doing well. 

Toys and dolls can be used for showcasing how sneezing, coughing, or fever-like. Kids shall be told what to do when the above-mentioned symptoms occur. Meanwhile, tell them how to care for others and protect themselves at the same time. 


For schoolchildren

Listen to what they really care about and answer them by means of what they can understand. What shall be taken into account is not to make them confused and encourage them to communicate with each other. 

Tell schoolchildren about the concepts of social distance and inform them to keep away from crowded areas. In addition, emphasize good hygiene information. What’s more, display some related videos and animations, show them cases and make recommendations. 


For high-school students

Teach high-school students about personal hygiene behaviors and knowledge, encourage them to share with family members. High-school students shall be inspired to discuss and express themselves under this circumstance. Also, set up volunteer teams and let them promote hygiene information over the school.   

Related courses and classes shall be adopted, help them have a better understanding of such pandemic and enhance their thoughts and capabilities.
